Let the good times flow on Sunday, October 18 by attending the  Bayou Vermilion District’s (BVD) Bayou Vermilion Festival & Boat Parade at Vermilionville. The Bayou Vermilion Festival & Boat Parade celebrates the Bayou Vermilion and aims to encourage use of the river as a viable source of recreation for Lafayette Parish while also promoting BVD’s efforts along the Vermilion. The Bayou Vermilion Boat Parade launches around 2 PM on October 18, departing from Vermilionville and ending at the Camellia Bridge Launch. An evening of live music by Cedryl Ballou & the Zydeco Trendsetters caps off the event, as well as food, drinks and more.

All are invited to participate in the parade by registering their boat or paddle craft online or by phone (337) 233-4077.

The first 200 participants to register with a suggested $10 donation will receive a reusable ChicoBag® made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles, and all who register with a donation of $10 or more will receive free entry to the village for the festival as well.
