I'm told Saints head coach Sean Payton was drawing up plays on napkins when the Saints braintrust went to dinner after drafting Reggie Bush with the #2 overall pick in the 2006 draft. It's hard to believe 11 years have passed since then. He brought an electricity , and explosiveness to the Saints offense that few players can bring to the playing field. In his five years with the Black & Gold, Reggie played in 60 games, rushing for 2,090 yards. He scored 33 touchdowns. Some fans were disenchanted because he wasn't the "Tote the rock, every down" type of running back. He's not built that way. He was one of the most dynamic players I've ever seen. Reggie's 32 now. 11 NFL seasons have taken their toll. Sports Illustrated reports, he's officially hanging up the spikes. I was in the Superdome for two of his punt return TD's. It was electric! Reggie gained  9,088 yards from scrimmage and 54 touchdowns in his NFL career. By the way, he wants to retire as a Saint.
