Ragin Cajuns New Orleans Bowl Schedule

The University of Louisiana Lafayette has a whole slate of activities planned for fans in Lafayette and fans who travel to the Crescent City for the New Orleans Bowl, including a parade, receptions, parties and live music! Here's the schedule:

On Sunday, December 11th, Townsquare Media Lafayette and Service Chevrolet will be painting vehicle windows with ‘Geaux Cajuns’ to support the upcoming New Orleans Bowl. Vehicle painting will be from 12 noon- 4pm at Cajun Field by the oak tree. A suggested donation of $10 for each vehicle will benefit the Ragin’ Cajuns. Vehicles will be painted by The UL Ladies Softball team, ‘King Rob,’ Service Chevrolet and Townsquare Media Lafayette. Additionally, there will be the chance to register to win a parking pass at Rouse’s in New Orleans and a family four pack of tickets to the New Orleans Bowl game which features the UL Ragin’ Cajuns—prize courtesy of Rouse’s.

The Pride of Acadiana Marching Band will lead fans from the Marriott to Bourbon Street in Second Line fashion. Parade begins at the Marriott at 8:45 p.m. Open to all Ragin' Cajun fans.

Friday, December 16

3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Ragin' Cajuns Fan Fest sponsored by Home Bank
New Orleans Marriott, 555 Canal Street
This reception is open to all Ragin' Cajuns with live music provided by Jamie Bergeron and the Kickin' Cajuns. Home Bank is a proud supporter of Ragin' Cajun Athletics.

5:15 p.m.
Second Line Parade
It's a New Orleans street party, Ragin' Cajun style! Ragin' Cajun fans will second line with a New Orleans jazz band from the Marriott to Spanish Plaza for the Friday Night Free-For-All.

A free concert series! The opening act is the Rebirth Brass Band, followed by the Givers.

Saturday, December 17

RCAF Tailgate Party sponsored by Iberia Bank
St. Charles Club Room (Superdome's Northwest Quadrant)
Ragin' Cajuns are invited to a pre game Tailgate Party. Live music will be provided by Nik-L-Beer. Admisssion is free to all 2011 RCAF members. $10.00 for all non-members. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Iberia Bank is a proud supporter of Ragin' Cajun Athletics.

4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Ragin' Cajun Alumni Pre Game Bash sponsored by Cox Communications, Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen and Republic National Distributing Company
Please join fans at CLUB 44 in Champions Square to celebrate UL's trip to the New Orleans Bowl. All Ragin’ Cajun alums are welcome to drop by between 4-7 p.m. Food and drink will be available in the CLUB 44/Champions Square area for purchase. Hosted by your UL Alumni Association.
