When your football team has success, other teams come sniffing around, looking to steal your assistant coaches. Mark Hudspeth's Ragin' Cajun squad had a successful 2014 campaign, winning the R & L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. They held Nevada to just 3 points. The Cajuns Defense was the best in the Sunbelt conference. That clearly caught the attention of the pro team that plays its home games at the Superdome. Ragincajuns.com reports defensive coordinator James Willis is leaving to accept a position as defensive assistant/ linebackers coach with the New Orleans Saints. The Black & Gold defense was porous in 2014. Despite rampant speculation, defensive coordinator Rob Ryan was not dismissed at season's end. The Saints hired former raiders head coach Dennis Allen as a defensive assistant in late January. I hate to see Willis go, but at least he's headed to the Saints!
