The Ragin' Cajun Softball program announced some changes for this weekend's regular-season finale series with U.L. Monroe at Lamson Park. The two teams had been scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday. That single game will now be played on Friday night.Fans holding tickets for the Sunday game can use those for the Friday night contest.

Senior Day activities were scheduled for the Sunday single game. Those plans will now be moved to Saturday's schedule. Fans will want to be at Lamson Park early because Senior Day activities will begin before game one of the scheduled doubleheader. I think if you're in your seat by 12:15 you won't miss this emotional ceremony.

In addition to the ceremonies to honor Ragin' Cajun senior players and their family's, there will also be a little sci-fi fun to go along with the softball. Saturday is May the 4th, Star Wars Day, think "may the force (fourth) be with you". I know it's kind of geeky but who doesn't like Star Wars? The first 300 fans with paid admission will receive a limited edition Ragin' Cajun Star Wars-themed poster.

While this will be the last regular season series for Cajun Softball it won't be your last chance to catch the Cajuns at Lamson Park. U.L. is the host site for this year's Sun Belt Conference softball tournament. That will get underway on May 9th.
