It seems 2016 has had a banner crop of celebrity deaths, with the passing of David Bowie, Prince, Leon Russell, Alan Thicke, & George Michael on Christmas day. We must now add Star Wars legend Carrie Fisher to this unfortunate list. Fisher passed away this morning, according to people.com. She suffered a heart attack on an international flight December 23rd. Fisher skyrocketed to fame with her portrayal of the iconic Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies, beginning with 1977's "A New Hope." She would go on the play the character in "The Empire Strikes Back," and "Return of the Jedi."  Fisher reprised the role in last year's "The force Awakens."  She appeared in numerous other films, like the cult classic, "The Blues Brothers," but will always be best known for her portrayal of Princess Leia.
