Jane Fonda was scheduled to appear on the shopping network QVC to promote her new book on aging.

AP reports, the appearance was cancelled on short notice, and  the 73 year-old Oscar winner says the cancellation was due to pressure over her controversial past. Fonda was an ouspoken opponent of American involvement in Vietnam, and made a highly publicised visit to the North Vietnamese capital.
