Three generations of my family have enjoyed (or at least watched) the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The show premiered in 1993, when my children were 7 & 4. They sat glued to the TV when it was on. My Grandson, Nathan watches the old episodes on Netflix. He'd watch it all day if I let him. Haim Saban created the show by inter splicing newly shot footage of American teenagers with action scenes from an old Japanese TV show. The result was one of the most popular entertainment franchises of the past 20 years. Deadline.com reports Saban Brands has teamed with Lionsgate for a big screen revival of the Power Rangers. Will there be a market for the Power Rangers in 2014? I'm sure I know one kid who'll watch it.
