Play With a Purpose at Games of Acadiana to Benefit Miles Perret Cancer Services

Saturday marks the 11th annual event to benefit Miles Perret Cancer Services. Games of Acadiana begins with Opening Ceremonies at 10:00am in the Cajundome. Survivors take a victory lap around the interior of the Cajundome while the crowd cheers. After the national anthem, a brief prayer and announcement of 2012 Honorees, the games begin!

This year's game day includes great new games and features like:

Angry Birds - Test your sling shot skills as you try to knock down as many pigs as possible.

Battleship - Can you handle a Nerf gun with precision as you take out ships?

Karaoke+ - Step into the spotlight with this Idol-like version of Karaoke where you can see yourself belting out tunes on a big screen!

Leaning Tower of Pizza - How high can you stack before the tower collapses?

Noodling Around - Balloons and noodles await you in this interactive challenge.

Photo Booth - Say Cheese for this fun and interactive experience!

Worm Races - You might have speed, but can you move in a straight line?

Stroller Parking - Find the crowd too thick to navigate the aisles? Park your stroller in this new area.

Don't worry about finding lunch options when you come to Game Day! They're bringing back the popular Spaghetti Dinner, in the air-conditioned tent outside under the Cajundome Portico. For a fee of $5, you'll get spaghetti and meat sauce, a vegetable, and dinner roll. Your choice of lemonade or sweet tea is also included.

Bring your family or make some new friends when you play with a purpose at the Games of Acadiana, Saturday August 18 at the Cajundome and Convention Center from 10am - 4pm.
