A source close to KPEL News says one of the supervisors for Edison Chouest Company in Louisiana, the company which the captives work for, was able to speak with the captors and says the two men are doing fine and that they have been treated well.

The two men, the captain and the chief engineer, were kidnapped Wednesday after pirates attacked their commercial ship, a U.S.-flagged ship named C-Retriever near the coast of Nigeria. The captain is from South Louisiana.

Our anonymous source confirms that third-party negotiators are also speaking with the captors, and that the ransom money being sought will be paid. The amount of that money, though, is not being disclosed. Our source also confirms that the government is not planning any rescue operations to save these two men.
