How many times have you thought you felt your phone vibrating in your pocket only to find that it wasn't vibrating at all...this is called Phantom Cellphone Vibration Syndrome.  It turns out that the phantom cellphone vibration syndrome is fairly common.  If this has ever happened to you, you are not alone. Ask your friends, family or co-workers, they will tell you it's happened to them, it's just that no one talks about it.  You may have Phantom Cellphone Vibration Syndrome if you've ever felt your smartphone vibrating in your pocket but when checked, there was nothing!  No call, no text.

There is research that suggests Phantom Cellphone Vibration Syndrome is due to technology obsession.  There's a growing body of research on phantom vibrations and many of the other problems associated with technology obsession, all of which is explored by Larry Rosen, a professor of psychology at California State University, Dominguez Hills, in his new book, 'iDisorder'.

See if you can find someone who believed the smartphone in their pocket was vibrating but found when checked, there was nothing new.  Ask around, we did...
