Debbie Ray and CJ were having a conversation on the air during the week about the toll bridge on the way to Grand Isle, and Libby sent us this link:

PAY YOUR TOLL ONLINE FOR LA. 1 BRIDGE AT LEEVILLE

Release Date: 09/08/2009

To make your next fishing trip to Grand Isle or Fourchon easier and less time consuming, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is encouraging anglers to go to www.geauxpass.com to buy a one-time pass or sign up for a GeauxPass to cross the new La. 1 toll bridge over Bayou LaFourche in Leeville.

The La. 1 toll bridge uses open road tolling so there is no tollbooth on the bridge.  Tolls are collected electronically by overhead equipment.

Drivers who already have a GeauxPass account will have the toll automatically deducted from their balance.  Drivers who don't have a GeauxPass account can purchase a one-time pass online or at the Customer Service Center at 1821 La. 3235 in Golden Meadow before crossing the bridge.

Drivers who cross the bridge without a GeauxPass or one-time pass have 96 hours to pay the toll before receiving a violation in the mail.  You can post-pay at www.geauxpass.com or call the Customer Service Center toll free at 1-866-662-8987 to sign up or to find information.
