Parents Empowered is a group of parents who have taken a leadership role in their children's education and to make sure that parents are heard. Lafayette's Parents Empowered group is hosting town hall-style meetings called Cafeteria Conversations with Dr. Pat Cooper, superintendent of the Lafayette Parish School System.
Parents will hear details about the “100% In. 100% Out.” plan and be able to ask important questions directly. All parents are invited to attend a meeting in their area. Light refreshments will be served.

Cafeteria Conversations will take place in the local school cafeterias, as follows:
Thursday, April 17, at 6 p.m. – Comeaux High (Common Core)
Tuesday, April 29, at 6 p.m. – Acadiana High (Health and Wellness)
Thursday, May 1, at 6 p.m. – Northside High (Facilities and Technology)
Tuesday, May 6, at 6 p.m. – Carencro High (Budgeting for 2014-2015)
