In what can be called one of the most amazing finishes in Cajuns football history (including the win over Texas A&M in the 90′s), Brett Baer’s first 50 yard field goal gave the Cajuns it’s first Bowl victory in the history of the university’s program.

The Pride of Acadiana Marching Band will lead fans from the Marriott to Bourbon Street in Second Line fashion. Parade begins at the Marriott at 8:45 p.m. Open to all Ragin’ Cajun fans.
This past Sunday out at Cajun Field our friend King Rob and the UL Softball team painted cars in preparation of the New Orleans Bowl. A big thanks to our friends at Service Chevrolet and Rouses for sponsoring the event. A lot of money was raised for UL Athletics. Enjoy some pics.
Lafayette and Acadiana are going Ragin Cajun crazy over UL's appearance in the R & L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on December 17, vs. San Diego State! There are lots of celebrations and tributes planned for before the game and for fans who will make the trip to NOLA. Our old buddy Robert Harris, aka 'King Rob' is responsible for one that's sure to become legendary.

Bowl Officials today invited the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns to represent the Sun Belt Conference in the 2011 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on December 17 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher's mother, Lavoyda passed away unexpectedly Monday. She was 51 years old. The cause of her death hasn’t been made public.
