“Our Community Salutes of Acadiana” Event Is Sunday, May 17

"Our Community Salutes of Acadiana" is an event held to recognize the young men and women of Acadiana who, upon graduation of high school, will be enlisting in the armed forces.

River Oaks reception hall on Kaliste Saloom is the location for the event, which will feature dignitaries, veterans of the United States armed forces, and other speakers.  The reason for the event is show our gratitude for their willingness to voluntarily sign up for military service to protect our country.

The event begins at noon, with the doors opening at 11:30.  A short reception will take place after the event, and you will have the opportunity to thank these young men and women personally.

The public is invited, and encouraged to attend.
