Only One Lane for Traffic on US 167 in Lafayette

Beginning Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 6:00 a.m., the center and outside lanes of US 167 NB (NE Evangeline Thruway), will be closed from LA 94 (Louisiana Avenue) to the railroad located just South of Donlon Street for railroad repairs. The closure will then alternate to the center and inside lanes.  This will allow one lane to be opened at all times while work is being conducted.  This closure will allow vehicles 12-feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zone.  The road is open for regular traffic but oversize vehicles must detour using LA 94 (Louisiana Avenue) and Willow Street. Work is expected to last until 1:00 p.m. that same day.  DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

And here's a heads up for October: Beginning Saturday, October 8, 2011, at 10:00 p.m., US 167 NB (NE Evangeline Thruway) will be closed at LA 176 (Jefferson Street), to all traffic for railroad repairs.  Work is expected to be completed the following night, October 9, 2011, by 10:00 p.m., weather permitting.  The posted detour will consist of LA 176 (Jefferson Street to Moss Street) and Willow Street.
