Multi-platinum rock bands One Republic and Matchbox Twenty will be performing as part of the Super Bowl XLVII pregame show in New Orleans on Sunday, February 3, the NFL and CBS announced today.  The two groups will perform at the NFL Tailgate Party and part of each performance will be televised live on THE SUPER BOWL TODAY on CBS.

OneRepublic's smash single "Apologize," which shattered digital sales and airplay records worldwide and Matchbox Twenty completed an Australian tour last year and they are now headed out on a sold out North American tour, which includes shows in Lake Charles and Baton Rouge.

More than 111.3 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year's Super Bowl, the most-watched television program in history.  The pregame show and Super Bowl XLVII will be broadcast worldwide.
