You've heard about the health benefits of kale, high in fiber, vitamins and nutrients.  But can too much of it be bad for you?  Nutritionists say yes!

If kale if your go to vegetable, you may want to rethink the amount of kale you are consuming.

First, kale is the hardest vegetables for your body to digest which is why it's high in fiber.  Fiber is the amount of fruits and vegetables that is NOT digested.  If you eat too much kale, you may develop serious stomach bloating and cramping.

Kale, like spinach, can cause kidney stones.  Both of these vegetables contain 'oxalates' which are known to cause kidney stones.

Too much kale can cause hypothyroidism, which is an underactive thyroid.  If this condition happens to you, you may find yourself actually gaining weight.

Try to include kale into you diet in small amounts only.  Also, cooking kale helps in digestion.
