The multi-state lottery game known as Powerball is about to cross over into that territory where casual players get excited. After Wednesday night's draw failed to produce a big winner the jackpot is expected to be over $170 million when the ping pong balls drop on Saturday.

Officials with Powerball say no one ticket matched all five of the numbers drawn last night along with the Powerball. There was one ticket sold in New Jersey where all of the numbers matched with the exception of the Powerball. That ticket is worth $1 million.

The winning numbers that were drawn on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 were:

01-02-18-23-61 PB 09

There was a South Louisiana winner in the July 8th drawing. A ticket sold in Jennings was worth $50,000. That ticket matched four of the five numbers and the Powerball in that particular drawing.

The winning number for July 8, 2017, were:

08-10-29-40-59-PB 26

The next drawing in the game will come on Saturday night shortly before 10 PM CDT. By rule, ticket sales must cease at least one hour before the drawing. So, if you're planning on winning $172 million in the annuity or taking the cash payout of $106 million you'll need to secure your tickets before 9 PM on Saturday night.
