Saints owner Tom Benson's estranged relatives have apparently won early round victories in the courts. A Texas judge appointed estate lawyer Art Bayernformer and San Antonio Mayor Phil Hardberger to "assist" in managing Mr. Benson's assets in Texas. The next day, a New Orleans judge ordered a physical and psychiatric examination by a team of 3 doctors. It's a totally different story in the NFL. WVUE reports, Rita Benson LeBlanc has been removed from both of her committee positions. She was on the international committee, and chair of the employee benefits committee. Commissioner Roger Goodell voiced his support for the 87 year old Benson.

"I spoke to Tom Benson just the other day. He was going into the office as usual. He was in complete control, energetic, excited about getting into the office. Asking about league issues. As you know he's one of our more active owners in the league on various committees."   - Roger Goodell
