We Americans have a schizophrenic attitude about our folk heroes. We deify them one minute, and call them overpaid Prima Donnas the next. In case you're not aware, the 2011 season of America's favorite game, NFL Football, is in danger of not taking place. 'Millionaires fighting with Billionaires over money'...How Disgusting!
We've seen some unexemplary behavior on the part of some of these people, Pacman Jones, Plaxico Burress, Michael Vick, Donte Stallworth have all been in trouble with the law. In the case of Burress, Stallworth & Vick, prison time has come into play.
Here's something I think is REALLY cool! Denver Bronco's safety David Bruton has been spending the lockout working as a substitute teacher for $90.00 a day. Bruton holds a degree from Notre Dame and has been teaching at his old high school in Miami Ohio. Bruton recently told the Denver Post 'I'm just trying to keep busy, and it's nice to be able to give back to my community'
