According to one website, husbands in America are starting to keep their wives in line  with - are you ready for this? - spanking!

Mr. Conservative reports that Christian Domestic Discipline (CDD) is a 'thing'.  Wives are allowing their husbands to administer spankings as punishment when she 'gets out of line', so-to-speak.

The website says that CDD

is an arrangement between two adults who share the belief that the husband is the head of the household and with that position comes the right to enforce his authority.

That 'enforcement' can come as a spanking, lecturing, removing privileges,  time-out, or 'bedroom time' (they didn't elaborate on that last term.  At all.).

I know that many of my Christian friends believe that (as the Bible says) the woman is subservient to the husband; do you feel that this is taking it too far?  What are your thoughts?

The author of the article makes a comment at the end, saying that she will be sending a gift basket to the children of "Clint and Chelsea" (the couple who are into CDD), so I think that the article might be slightly biased.
