America's favorite sport is either Nascar or NFL Football, depending who you ask. Tony Stewart is a three time Sprint Cup Champion. He won two cups driving for Joe Gibbs Racing. Joe, by the way, is a Super Bowl winning former NFL head coach.

Tony's a tough, feisty guy. He's raced with some pretty serious injuries over the years. He broke his right leg in 2013, ending his season. Tony got around on a scooter while recovering from the injury. Now, he's using that scooter to raise money for a good cause, the Darrell Gwynn Foundation.

The Darrel Gwynn Foundation was founded by champion racer Darrell Gwynn and his wife, Lisa twelve years ago. The Foundation's mission is to provide support for paralyzed individuals and prevent crippling spinal cord injuries. Its principal support program is a National Wheelchair Donation Program.

“We thought long and hard about what we should do with the scooter when we were finished with it. After working with Darrell Gwynn and his foundation for so many years, I know there are a lot of people who aren’t as fortunate, and that a scooter is a way of life." -Tony Stewart

Stewart has donated an impressive prize package to the foundation. It will be auctioned off at a Barrett Jackson event in Palm Beach, April 11th-13th. The package includes the custom scooter, a race worn fire-suit, an autographed photo of Tony on the scooter, round trip airfare hotel accommodations, garage passes, and special reserved seating for the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona in July. He'll also match the opening $50,00 bid.

It might be time to grab that cash you've got hidden under your mattress...
