‘My Lafayette’ Video Contest Deadline is May 9 – Top Prize is $1000

Did you shoot some great video during Festival International? Show it off in the 'My Lafayette' Video Contest and you might win $1000! Filmmakers and videographers have until May 9 to submit entries. The Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission and AOC are calling on all video enthusiasts to show Lafayette through their eyes in an online video contest. 'My Lafayette' video contest entries should creatively highlight the Lafayette or Acadiana area as a prime tourism destination. Videos must be three minutes or less in length.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three videos - $1,000, $700 and $300. Winners will be selected based on popularity and points determined by a committee. Qualifiers will be determined based on adherence to the rules.

After all videos have been submitted, the public will vote on their favorites May 11-31. The winners will be announced at LCVC’s membership luncheon June 13.
