A Crowley Police officer working a traffic detail stopped a driver for speeding last night, and the officer found out that driver was wanted for a December 2012 Houston area murder.

Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson says,

“On Monday evening, an officer was working a traffic detail when he stopped a vehicle for speeding. During the stop, the officer discovered that the driver was wanted from Texas for a December 2012 murder in the Houston area.  Once the officer discovered that the driver was wanted for murder, he used good judgment, waited for back up and took the suspect into custody without incident.”

Police arrested 43-year-old Adrian Aguilar.

Aguilar listed his address as Douglasville, Pennsylvania when he was booked but Gibson says the man has been staying in the Crowley / Jennings area.
