Moment Of Silence For Sandy Hook Victims
Governor Bobby Jindal has called for a state-wide moment of silence for the 26 souls who were lost on December 14 in the Sandy Hook school massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.
According to KATC TV3, the proclamation from Governor Jindal comes after a request was made by Connecticut's Governor Daniel Malloy, who asked that each state observe a moment of silence at their own time zone's 9:30am. Governor Malloy also asks those who are able to ring a bell 26 times, one for each victim.
Today, at 9:30, let's put everything else aside and join together with family members, co-workers, friends and fellow residents of Louisiana and observe a moment of silence to show our respect to the victims of this senseless tragedy, and to give strength to our fellow countrymen in Connecticut.
