Mission Vets Foundation Looking For Businesses To Team Up With

Mission Vets is a charitable organization whose mission is to have a life changing impact on veterans; the organization is looking for businesses to team up with.

Mission Vets works with businesses to provide academic scholarships to allow the veterans the opportunity to support themselves and their families.  The organization solicits donations to fund the scholarships (through fundraisers, donations and other methods), creates relationships with private business enterprises and helps to secure worthwhile employment for veterans.

So far, of over 500 veterans who attended the Battlefields to Oilfields program, over 90% have earned good-paying jobs in the oil and gas industry.

The Carreers for Warriors (C4W) program is operated by Mariner Gulf in Morgan City.  In conjunction with Mission Vets, provides training and job placement services in the oil and gas industry and has recently expanded training to include construction and security.

The Basic Course is a two-week program costs $1,500 (a reduced rate specifically for veterans); the fee includes the instruction and lodging accommodations.

Another program that works closely with Mission Vets is Operation Pay It Back, which works to identify eligible veterans seeking training and guaranteed employment in the oil industry.

How can you help?  Well, as a new non-profit, you can spread the word about Mission Vets to your friends, family and co-workers/employer by telling them about the programs, sharing this story on your social media site, and emailing the link to others.

You can also volunteer to help with a fundraiser; collaborate with Mission Vets by developing a fundraiser within your organization; donate directly through the Mission Vets website and, finally, visit the Mission Vets Facebook page and "Like" and "Share".
