Last night I had the privilege of being a part of what I would like to consider history.  The unveiling of the new Mercedes Benz Superdome was more than just a light show; rather it was the beginning of a new era. Walking up to Champions Square and being surrounded by hundreds of Saints fans and New Orleans residents I couldn’t help but feel the same feeling of  pride for this once devastated city. Since Katrina, the Superdome has served as a symbol of hope and survival for the New Orleans community. And this ceremony was a great way of showing how far this city as overcome and is still progressing. Being 22 years old I feel like I have so much to learn and am currently learning everyday. And with this, I believe last night was one of those life lessons about success and the importance of perseverance. Yay for growing up!

"It is not enough to begin; continuance is necessary. Mere enrollment will not make one a scholar; the pupil must continue in the school through the long course, until he masters every branch. Success depends upon staying power. The reason for failure in most cases is lack of perseverance." Miller
