It's Valentine's Night.  If You Have A First Date, Read This...

Your place or mine?  If you live in a bachelor pad, definitely not yours! According to research, homes of single men are crawling with 15 times more germs than those belonging to single women. The study examined several common surfaces, including coffee tables, nightstands and the ever-present TV remote.  Each item was ripe with bacteria, including coliforms, which are found in human feces.  Scientists say that particular gross-out houseguest probably finds its way into the home on the bottom of people’s shoes- shoes that often end up propped on the coffee table in a bachelor pad!  While the bachelorette’s homes were overall much cleaner than the average American’s (and certainly cleaner than the bachelors’ digs,) one location was teeming with bugs… the front doorknob.  But researchers have an explanation for this, and of course dirty dudes are to blame: despite being grimy, many single guys are still chivalrous.  At least they open the door for the ladies!
