Meet Former Saint Michael Lewis And Benefit Acadiana Area Youth

About a year ago, I had the opportunity to meet a Who 'Dat folk hero, Michael Lewis. Saints fans affectionately refer to him as the "Beer Man", because he was driving a beer truck before making the team as a walk-on. We chatted about him showing up, looking for a roster spot & running the 40 -yard dash in 4.34 seconds (That's VERY fast!) in the rain. He was one of the most feared return specialists in the NFL from 2000 - 2006, making the Pro - Bowl in 2002. Michael currently serves as Team Ambassador for the Saints. He's also a very nice guy! He even let me wear his Super Bowl Ring.

Michael is coming to Lafayette to host a fundraiser for his Striding For Your Dreams Foundation. The "A Night With Mike Gala" will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. in Parc Lafayette. It's a chance to meet  some great NFL athletes, past and present. There will be a memorabilia auction, good food, and cocktails.Tickets are $50 and availability is  limited.
Proceeds to help provide scholarships, and benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana.
