Maria Placer Inducted As Living Legend At Acadian Museum
The Acadian Museum of Erath will induct long-time Lafayette Televison Anchor and Community Volunteer, Maria Placer into its Order of Living Legends. The event will be a fundraiser for the Acadian Museum, a volunteer non-profit organization. We had the pleasure of visiting the Museum when our colleague Camey Doucet was inducted last year. It's a 'don't miss' stop on any tour involving Cajun History.
The induction ceremony will be at Noon on Saturday, July 3rd at the Acadian Museum Annex #1, 11607 Hwy. 89. (Kermit Bouillion’s camp on Lake Peigneur a few miles south of Lafayette) Note: In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to L’Eglise, in LeBlanc, 3203 J. Alcee Rd.
