Here are our picks for fun things to do Mardi Gras weekend in Lafayette and around Acadiana:

The 'Friday Night Parade' is Friday, February 28, of course. It rolls at 6:30 PM. At Le Festival de Mardi Gras, it's Geno Delafosse and Frank Foster. The festival grounds will be open 5-11 PM.

The Children's Parade rolls at 12:30 PM on Saturday. Youngsville Parade at 1 PM. Lake Fausse Pointe at 2 PM. Bonaparte at 6:30 PM. The festival is open 12:30 PM - 11 PM. Music by One Trick Pony, Tip Tops, and the Chee Weez.

Duson's annual parade starts at 11 AM Sunday. The Courir de Mardi Gras in Church Point is at 8 AM. The Festival de Mardi Gras a Lafayette is open 12 - 11 PM. Music by Caleb Elliott, Corey Ledet, Jaryd Lane, Cupid and the Molly Ringwalds.

Monday, March 3, the Queen's Parade starts at 6 PM. The festival is open 12 - 11 PM. Music by Corey Arceneaux, Side Show,  Ray Boudreaux and Wayne Toups.

On Mardi Gras day, the Krewe of Gabriel rolls at 10 AM. The Lafayette Mardi Gras Festival parade is at 1 PM, followed by the Independent parade at 2 PM. The festival hours are 11 AM - 6 PM. Music by Leon Chavis, Lafayette's Bayou Boys and Gregg Martinez.
