Facebook user Stephen Elmer's Uncle L.J. (of the famous Elmer's Chee Wees family) shot some random movie footage of Mardi Gras back in 1954. The video shows a celebration that is strangely similar yet very different from today's. The shots are from Canal Street, the French Quarter and Bourbon Street.
