Time to check the refrigerator again. The Manda meat recall has been expanded. The original recall of 20,000 pounds of meat which was announced on April 10 was expanded to include more than 468,000 pounds of meat shipped to stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. It now includes types of roast beef, ham, turkey breast, tasso pork, ham shanks, hog head cheese, corned beef and pastrami with sell by dates between May 13 and July 2, 2013, and establishment #8746A. This affects only products from the Baker, Louisiana facility. Manda sausage products remain safe for purchase and consumption, according to a statement from the company, saying "Our sausage products are manufactured at a separate production facility in Baton Rouge."
