Any guy who wants to make a grand marriage proposal to his girlfriend can take her to a ballgame and have the scoreboard operator flash his declaration of eternal love for all to see.

But when 28-year-old New Yorker Jeff Gurwin proposed marriage to girlfriend Caitlin Fitzsimons, he took that kind of bigness a step further and commissioned the painting of a large street mural with the words, "Caitlin, will you marry me?"

Caitlin saw the personalized street art when she met Gurwin for dinner. Luckily, she said yes, because the mural is set to remain for the next month, no matter her response.

Read on for a time lapse video of the painting of the mural and the unique proposal, plus other videos of creative marriage proposals.
