Man Survives Drive-By Shooting

Iberia Parish Sheriff's Major Wendell Raborn says a man who was shot during a drive-by shooting last night is still being treated at a Lafayette hospital.

Major Wendell Rayborn says the shooting happened on Lombard Street right near Hopkins Street in New Iberia.

All of this took place just before 7:30 last night as a group of men were just standing around on the sidewalk talking when a car drove by.

Someone in that vehicle fired multiple shots. An 18-year-old man was hit once.

Detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office are hoping someone will tip them off about information surrounding the shooting.
