Man Dies In Late Night Lafayette Shooting

A late night shooting ends in the death of one man while another has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder.

Lafayette Police spokesman Sergeant Kyle Soriez says it happened Wednesday night around 11:00 p.m. in the 100 block of South Buchanan Street. He says 61-year-old Davis Thibodeaux was found in the area with a gunshot wound; he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. 18-year-old Noah Keonolom of Lafayette is the accused shooter.

Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
