The LSU Tigers return to action on Saturday afternoon, when coach Johnny Jones’ squad travels to Gainesville, Florida to take on the Florida Gators in an SEC match-up.

Tipoff time is set for 12:30 pm.

LSU, who defeated Kentucky, 85-67, in their SEC home opener on Tuesday night, is 9-5, overall, and 2-0 in SEC play, while Florida, who fell to Tennessee, 83-69, on Wednesday night, is currently 9-5, and 1-1, respectively.

The Tigers are outscoring the opposition, 84.3/75.9, and outshooting them from the floor, 48%/43%, while holding down a slim 39.5/38.1 rebound advantage.

LSU is led by freshman forward Ben Simmons, who is averaging 20.1 points, to go along with 12.9 rebounds-per-game, and senior guard Keith Hornsby, who is averaging 16.3, and 2.4, respectively.

Florida is outscoring opponents, 73.1/63.5, while outshooting the opposition, 42%/38%, and holding down a 42.4/38.4 rebounding advantage.

The Gators are paced by senior forward Dorian Finney-Smith, who is averaging 13.1 points, to go along with 7.6 rebounds contest.
