In recent weeks, Tony Robicheaux's team has been dubbed "Cardiac Cajuns." It looked like they would pull of another late inning comeback Saturday when Brenn Conrad tied the game at 3 in the top of the 9th with his first home run of the year. The Tigers' Chris Sciabra dashed those hopes with a walk off blast in the bottom of the inning. The Cajuns returned to Alex Box tonight hoping to even the series, and force a Monday rubber match. It was not to be. Head coach Tony Robicheaux sent Freshman All American, Sun Belt Freshman of the year Gunner Leger to the mound in a win or go home game. Leger pitched brilliantly through 7, allowing just 1 run. The tigers erupted for 4 in the 8th, chasing Leger, and reliever Dylan Butler. The Cajuns plated one in the bottom half. LSU added one in the top of the 9th, making it 6-1 LSU. The Cajuns added 2 in the bottom of the 9th. Final: 6-3 LSU. UL will lose several guys, most notably Blake Trahan, who figures to be a 1st round draft pick. Those young pitchers will all be back...
