When Garth Brooks performs "Callin' Baton Rouge" in Louisiana, you know what happens next.

Upon his arrival into Lafayette for a 5-show run, Garth said this would be one of the only cities where "Friends In Low Places" wouldn't be the biggest song of the night. Brooks knows his audience and is also VERY aware that "Callin' Baton Rouge" is the unofficial anthem for the LSU Tigers.

Besides literally having "Baton Rouge" in the title, any Louisiana venue—from bars to Tiger Stadium—erupts when the song is played, and on Garth Brooks' opening night in Lafayette, the CAJUNDOME was no exception.

Once Garth played the final note of "Callin' Baton Rouge," the CAJUNDOME audience roared in applause—then slowly you could hear the familiar chant firing off from the crowd of nearly 12,000 in attendance.

"L-S-U!... L-S-U!,,, L-S-U!"

This is very normal and almost expected at a Louisiana Garth show, but the irony at this particular show was that the "L-S-U" chant was happening while Garth Brooks was standing in front of a massive Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns fleur-de-lis logo.

Anyone familiar with the big brother-little brother UL-LSU rivalry can understand why this was an interesting sight to see and hear—especially in the Ragin' Cajuns home stadium.

It should also be noted that OF COURSE the chant was understandable given the amount of LSU fans here in Lafayette, NOT TO MENTION the LSU fans that traveled from Baton Rouge and around the state—especially with the LSU Baseball team currently making a run in Omaha.

But one Cajuns fan saw what was happening, and almost in a tongue-in-cheek manner decided to represent strong in the lion's den (I guess it would actually be a tiger's den in this situation) by throwing up the "UL" sign.

Set upon the background of the Cajuns logo and Garth Brooks basking in the roar of "L-S-U" chants it was a pretty funny moment and I'm glad I caught it on video.

If you have the chance to check out Garth during his 5-show run at the Lafayette CAJUNDOME, please do. An amazing performance from one of the greatest entertainers of all time right here in our backyard.

Also, Geaux Cajuns.. AND Tigers!
