I suppose it is fitting that an area with such roots in French culture pay tribute to France's gift to America all those years ago.

I was going through my usual routine of wasting time browsing the internet when I came across this awesome photo. It was in searching for the origin of this picture that I discovered Adam's Cypress Swamp Driftwood Family Museum and Art Gallery.

Adam Morales lives in Pierre Port alongside the Avoca Island Cutoff, just before Way Fellowship Church, where he finds and transforms Cypress driftwood into what I would call "Art with Seasoning." All of his pieces have character; he's even got Marie Laveau! I like Mr. Adam already and I haven't met him yet, but I'll be sure to stop by if I'm in the area.
