A hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana plans to extend its anti-tobacco policy next year to include smoky-smelling clothes. Employees of Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital will not be allowed to work if their clothing smells of tobacco smoke, nor will they be allowed to smoke on the job or during breaks. The hospital hopes to reduce patients' and employees' exposure to 'third-hand toxins.'
