Louisiana Fall Shrimp Season Opens Next Week

Here's good news! The fall shrimping seasons get underway next Monday. When I'm shopping for shrimp, I specifically look for wild caught from the gulf. No farm raised, or imported shrimp, thank you. AP reports, Waters from the Mississippi Line to the Atchafalaya River ship channel will open at 6pm, Monday, August 15th. The waters westward from there to the Texas line will open Monday, August 22nd. Time to clean the ice chests!
