After countless days and hours of following the awful track of now Tropical Storm Harvey, I had to take a break. I went to facebook for relief by asking my friends to suggest a good comedy to take me away from all the gloom and doom, that we have so far, mostly escaped. These were the most frequently recommended:

  • The Ranch on Netflix - IMDB describes it this way, "The son of a Colorado rancher returns home from a semi-pro football career to run the family business." It gets 7.7 stars out of 10.
  • Grace and Frankie on Netflix - IMDB describes it this way, "Finding out that their husbands are not just work partners, but have also been romantically involved for the last 20 years, two women with an already strained relationship try to cope with the circumstances together."
  • Santa Clarita Diet - They tell me this is funny, but the IMDB description doesn't make it sound terribly cheerful: "Sheila and Joel are married real estate agents in Santa Clarita, California. When Sheila dies, their lives take a dark turn."

BTW, we ended up watching the first couple of episodes of Cheers.
