Local Mom’s Son, Josh Hefner, Hits The American Idol Stage In Band ‘Royal Teeth’ [VIDEO]

KTDY was so excited to receive a Facebook message today from Mary Hefner the mother of Josh Hefner, announcing that her son who's in the band Royal Teeth, would be performing on American Idol this Thursday evening.

Josh Hefner plays the drums in the band that has roots in Lafayette and New Orleans.  On this Thursday evening's American Idol live broadcast, Hefner and the band will play "Wild" in front of the world.

“It’s obviously a whole different situation we’ve ever been in with an audience that size, a stage that big,” said Hefner. “But I think once it all gets started and once we hit the downbeat, I think muscle memory is going to take over.”

KTDY is so proud that one of our own made to the big stage, and that his mom Mary says, "Mike (husband) and I listen to KTDY every morning"!

And as a side note, when I (CJ) was doing mobile DJ work, I played their daughter's wedding reception at Vermillionville many moons ago lol.
