Your dog licking your face may not be as nasty as some people believe it is.  Your dog is actually helping your allergy symptoms.

The University of Arizona, have been conducting experiments on the saliva of dogs to find out just how beneficial a dog's saliva is to humans.

In 2015 immune diseases such as asthma and allergic reactions are much more common their in years past.  Researchers believe it's because we are so sanitary now.  We aren't being exposed to as much bad bacteria but in turn we aren't being exposed to GOOD bacteria either.

Experts conducting this study have found that kids who grow up with a dog, have fewer allergies than those who don't.  Why?  Because dogs pick up bacteria in all sorts of places.  Dogs expose children to these bacteria which helps them build up a resistance.

Letting a dog lick your face is helpful unless you are allergic to dogs of course.  But if you are allergic to pollen and other normal allergens, let your dog give you kisses.
