The sweeping changes to the late night landscape have only recently begun, with Jay Leno having said his goodbyes to 'The Tonight Show,' with Jimmy Fallon soon to take his place. Seth Meyers too, has left behind 'SNL' for his impending 'Late Night' gig, which we've now learned to feature fellow alumni Fred Armisen leading the band!

Meyers announced the news over Twitter, showing a photo of the new 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' 8G band that included Armisen among its lineup. As for Armisen's own ongoing commitment to IFC's 'Portlandia,' Meyers followed up to clarify:

Armisen has also been known for his musical skills, having previously drummed for both a punk rock group and the Blue Man Group. His 'SNL' exit also featured Armisen showing off his guitar skills with a musical number, while Seth Meyers' own departure saw Armisen making a brief 'Weekend Update' cameo in the final moments.

Well, what do you think? Will Seth Meyers bring the same 'Weekend Update' popularity to 'Late Night,' especially now with another 'SNL' alum backing him? Tell us if you'll watch 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' for its February 24 premiere!
