Lafayette Police Searching For Two Men Involved In Shooting

Lafayette police are after two men involved in a shooting last night at a Section 8 apartment complex on Louisiana Avenue.

Lafayette Police Department spokesperson Cpl. Paul Mouton said two black men in a small to midsize car approached a man at Holy Family Apartments around 11:30 p.m. and asked for a cigarette. The men then attempted to rob the victim and shot him in the upper chest as he fled.

The victim was transported to a hospital in stable condition, Mouton said.
