Two armed robberies on Saturday. Two different suspects behind bars.

Lafayette Police say 42-year-old Robert Moten is accused of robbing the Valero on Ambassador Caffery Parkway, in which he left with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was arrested at an address in Carencro.

48-year-old Gerald B. Gable of Crowley is accused of robbing a convenience store across the street five minutes apart from Moten's alleged robbery. Gable was arrested at a hospital Sunday when police got a complainant about an injured person, which turned out to be Gable.

Detectives do not believe the incidents are related.
