Two shootings have the Lafayette Police Department looking for suspects.

LPD Spokesman Corporal Karl Ratcliff said a police responded to two shootings that occurred within less than 24 hours of each other within the Hub City.

First, police responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Clinton Street around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. At the scene, police discovered a 23-year-old black male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was being treated at a local hospital. He was last listed in stable condition.

Then, Ratcliff said, officers responded to the second shooting on South Beadle Road around 12 a.m. Monday. There, police located a 37-year-old white male suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

Both shootings remain under investigation.
